MOVE: The Initiative was founded by longtime friends Rory Freeman and Kaitlyn Salisbury with a shared vision to create a dance experience centered on connection, individuality, and empowerment. Having grown up in competitive dance environments, they wanted to create a space where dancers could feel supported, inspired, and free to discover their own voices.
Through its intimate setting and thoughtfully selected faculty, MOVE encourages dancers to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new perspectives, and grow both as artists and individuals. Our teachers and mentors help foster a safe, welcoming community where vulnerability is met with encouragement and every dancer is celebrated for who they are.
MOVE has become much more than a dance intensive—it has become a family. Our mission is to create love and light that extends beyond the classroom and into our communities, using the power of dance to inspire a generation that understands the strength of coming together without ever losing the power of self.

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this intensive on Facebook. It is definitely one of the best that my boys have attended. It was vigorous and pushed them to new limits and yet the attention to personal growth, commitment, and the passion for dance far surpassed our expectations.
